Meet 2018 General comments

Full of Surprises

Yet to reach home to Bangalore from Vijayawada. Want to write few points on the meet. First, let me tell you, this meet was with full of surprises.

I was little worried while driving towards Yercaud, that we didn't have clear agenda or had only a peripheral agenda! My thought process was, we will be standing there without knowing what do to. Contrast to my prediction, the general feel from friends (including kids) were, சே ..! இன்னொரு 2 மணி நேரம், இருந்தா நல்லா இருக்கும்..

And those Surprises are..

• While I was driving uphills towards Yercaud, Viji was showing the snap posted by our group, taken in Salem railway station. On a snapshot, something striked in me, and asked her to zoom in. The face appeared like Savithri, just pulled over the car. That was real surprise to me, when I saw Savithri in that snap. Thanks to Rani for being behind the scene for making that to happen. And of course Savithri, for twice made a trip from USA within few months.

• Another Surprise in the morning was Gandhi. Smashed In. Happy to know his different drive of career and his global excellence in it. காந்தியின், அதே instant வெடுக்கான பேச்சை கேட்டு வெகுநாளாயிற்று.

• I am one of the many, who were not aware of Pachiappan's transformation. The way I saw Pachi during collage was way too different, than the they way he is today with confidence in speaking, attitude and the impact that he creats. Truly *greenest* transformation. Very proud of Him.

• I was thinking Aruna would just flash and go for few min due to her compelling commitments. However she was with us (almost) until next next day after noon. Thanks for both Aruna & Sudhakar. One thing I could see is Sudhakar is deadly scared of Aruna (for taking one small peg of alcohol).

• Vengadesh was warning me few days back that there would be some *last minute drop-outs*. In contrast to my calculation, the attendance was more than what was committed.

These are some of the many, that made this meet very memorable. After reaching home later today, I shall share some of my memories.

Anitha's visit

Like few of our friends (like SRK, Kumaran, Sofia, Gunasekar) who disappeared in the earlier meets , Anitha was one among them in the last 25 years until Mageswari traced her into the group recently. Very very happy to see her. The amazing thing is, there is completely insignificant difference between the way we saw Anitha during college and now. அதே உருவம், அதே முகம், அதே குறும்புத்தனமான சிரிப்பு! வயசான அடையாளமே இல்லை. என்றுமே இதே நிலைக்க வேண்டும்..!

I love Prabha..!

One of the highlight of the meet! I think I don't need to explain, however for the benefit of those who did not attend the meet,

Raguram: Hey, ...எனக்கு நம்ம class-ல, எல்லாரையுமே பிடிக்கும், particularly...
Raj    : Hey, Go ahead man, I am also *recording* your speech!
Raguram: (immediately), I love Praba, I love Praba..!
Others : அது  சரிப்பா. ஆனா உன்னோட மத்த அனுபவம் பத்தி சொல்லு..
Raguram: I love Praba, I love Praba...!
Others : OK man, உன்னோட புது அனுபவம்...
Raguram: I love Praba, I love Praba...!
Others : இன்னும் ஒரு ரவுண்டு.. ?
Raguram: I love Praba, I love Praba...!
Others : உன் பேரென்ன ??
Raguram: I love Praba, I love Praba...!

This is it. பயமா, அதீத காதலா தெரியவில்லை. But all I could see is, she IS in your DNA. Our best wishes to inherit that DNA for eternity.

• Jerard's articulation*

Really appreciate Jerard for a nice insight that he brought on the surface during the camp-fire time. Horticulture being the professional course, deviations are generally unlikely. However, our batch although with less number of people, it is so unique with reference to diversified professionals (and excelling in respective direction..). This is something that we need to make use of it. Sky is the limit.

@Jerard: ஆனா கடைசிவரைக்கும், நீ பாடவே இல்ல man !

Learnings

• The next meet should be arranged reasonably less priced with more duration
• The time was too short to execute any Games that were planned / in-mind (including dubsmash; Kesari etc).
• Clear assignment is Job for individuals was lacking in the current meet hence should be taken care in the next meet for seamless execution
• Generate at least *some* funds so that one person need not pay.
